Swarm Network’s native token underpins every layer of its decentralized truth infrastructure, serving multiple critical functions:

1. Swarm Truth Protocol Mainnet: All protocol transactions require gas fees paid in the native token, ensuring network security, incentivizing validator participation, and preventing spam attacks.

2. Verification Fees: dApps, data platforms, and end-users consuming verified information pay a small fee in the native token, which is channeled into Agent Operation Pools and staking rewards.

3. Staking & Governance:

   • Network Security: Holders can stake tokens to secure the network and influence protocol parameters.
   • DAO Treasury Management: The DAO Treasury, comprising 5% of the total supply, is governed by staked tokenholders and funds ecosystem grants, new expansions, and community-driven proposals.

4. Licensing & Customization: The upcoming Agent BUIDL feature will allow license owners to train and customize AI agents for specialized tasks, with the native token used to unlock or upgrade advanced features.

5. Access & Premium Services: Certain advanced analytics, real-time data feeds, or domain-specific agent “swarms” may require staking or holding the native token to unlock privileged access.

6. Ecosystem Incentives: From user onboarding (airdrops) to specialized bounties, the native token motivates participants to continuously refine the network, expand coverage, and challenge malicious behaviors.
